Anchor1. Where can I find the college class schedule?

The college class schedule is available on forms page under the Academic Services Unit website, or through the link: https://pharmacy.kku.edu.sa/ar/content/440

 

Anchor2. What are the attendance and exam entry denial policies?

Failure to attend 80% of the theory and practice sessions leads to exam entry denial. 

 

Anchor3. What is the maximum number of credit hours I can register per semester?

The maximum number of credit hours is 24 hours if you are expected to graduate in the relevant semester.

 

Anchor4. What is the minimum number of credit hours I can register per semester?

The minimum number of credits hours is 12 hours per semester.

 

Anchor5. What is the meaning of a zero-level course?

It is the course from the lowest level in the student schedule.

 

Anchor6. What is the meaning of a corequisite course?

Corequisites are courses that should be taken simultaneously.

 

Anchor7. How can I add a course to my schedule?

Submit a course addition request through Academia platform (Tawasol). The college registrar will then process your request according to the Deanship of Admission and Registration (DAR) guidelines.

 

Anchor8. I want to add a course that I have not taken its pre-requisite; is this permissible?

It is not permissible to add a course you have not passed its pre-requisite(s).

 

Anchor9. How can I remove one course from my schedule?

Submit a course removal request through Academia platform (Tawasol). The college registrar will then process your request according to DAR guidelines.

 

Anchor10. Is it possible to change a theory or practice section?   

You can make changes to your class schedule through Academia within the period stipulated by DAR. In case you are unable to choose your section of choice, you can submit a request through Academia platform (Tawasol). If the section of choice is blocked, you need to find a student, from the desired section, who agrees to swap with you.

 

Anchor11. I am an irregular student, and I want to add courses from different levels; what should I do? 

The irregular student is permitted to add courses only from two higher levels of his current level.

 

Anchor12. I want to withdraw from a course; is it possible and how?

Yes, you can withdraw from a given course once. The maximum allowed times for course withdrawal are four for the entire study period. This can be dobe by sending a request via Academia platform during the official period stipulated by DAR (i.e. 3 weeks before the final exams), and your request will take effect within 48 hours. There are additional exceptional academic requests that allow you to withdraw from a course should you failed to submit your request during the official DAR deadline. Anchor13. What is the semester withdrawal process?

The university allows three non-consecutive or two consecutive semester withdrawals. Semester withdrawal can be performed via Academia platform within the period stipulated by DAR (i.e. 3 weeks before the final exams). There are additional exceptional academic requests that allow you to withdraw from a semester should you failed to submit your request during the official DAR deadline.

 

Anchor14. I was absent from an exam or assessment, and I have an excuse. What is the process for taking an alternative exam assessment?

Anchor15. How can I resume my studies after getting dismissed from the university?

For the first time, the student can apply for a re-enrollment through Academia platform. Additional re-enrollments can also be processed through the exceptional academic requests option in Academia. However, this request cannot be approved by DAR automatically and needs the College Council approval.
