About the Vice Dean
Dr Mona Almanasef got her bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the College of Pharmacy at King Saud University in 2009, after that she was sent on a scholarship to the Republic of Ireland/United Kingdom as part of the sixth stage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ foreign scholarship program and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy from University College London in the United Kingdom in 2012. She got her PhD degree in Pharmacy Practice and Policy from the same university in 2018. She was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Clinical Pharmacy department in the same year. During her PhD studies, Dr Mona received an Associate Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom, meeting professional standards in supporting teaching and learning at university level. Dr Mona held many administrative positions at the college, as she was appointed as supervisor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy in 2018 and supervisor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She was then appointed as Vice Dean of the College of Pharmacy in the female campus in 2022. Dr Mona was also appointed Vice-chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy in addition to her work. Dr Mona published several research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the field of pharmacy practice. She has participated in several scientific conferences, and she is a member of various committees at university and college levels.

Duties of the Vice Deanship
The College Vice Deanship for female campus works in partnership with the College Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs and Development. The Vice Deanship is concerned with everything related to the female students affairs inside and outside the classroom and it provides student services that contribute to building a healthy university environment that assist them in academic achievement. The Vice Deanship for female campus is keen to adhere to the university’s rules, regulations, and instructions and to supervise the process to achieve the university’s vision, mission and goals. The Vice Deanship’s tasks are:
- Supervising the Vice Deanship committees and submitting their reports to the relevant entities.
- Supervising the college advising and counselling unit and following up on the implementation of its action plans.
- Preparing exam schedules for students in coordination with the academic departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
- Studying student excuses and academic requests in accordance with university rules and regulations.
- Supervising the services provided to female students and improving them.
- Taking care of the rights of female students and taking the necessary measures to preserve them.
- Studying female students’ grievances and issues, and proposing appropriate actions to solve them, and coordinating this with relevant entities in the college and university.
- Proposing a plan for student extra-curricular activities in the college and supervising its implementation in coordination with relevant entities in the university.
- Proposing a plan for alumni activities and supervise its implementation.
- Coordinating with various college units regarding Vice Deanship tasks.
- Issuing internal decisions regarding organizing work within the Vice Deanship and its affiliated units in accordance with the rules and regulations.
- Submitting an annual report to the Dean of the College on the Vice Deanship work and its affiliated units.
